Product Description
B1 Fire Rating Closed Cell PIR Pipe Insulation Polyisocyanurate Foam Pipe Lagging
Application

PIR pipe insulation is designed for pipelines and equipment operating between -196℃ to +150℃. It provides optimal thermal insulation for cryogenic applications including Liquefied Nitrogen (LN₂, -196℃), Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG, -162℃), and Liquefied Ethylene (LEG, -104℃).

Product Introduction

Polyisocyanurate (PIR) is a high-performance foam material created through the polymerization of isocyanate and polyether. Offering superior physical and fire resistance properties compared to polyurethane, PIR features low thermal conductivity and excellent dimensional stability as an organic rigid thermal insulation material.

Key Features
  • Fire resistance rated B1
  • Operating temperature range: -196℃ to +120℃
  • Exceptional dimensional stability
  • Customizable cutting in panels and pipes to meet specific requirements

Typical PIR Insulation System Structure
B1 Fire Rating Closed Cell PIR Pipe Insulation Polyisocyanurate Foam Pipe Lagging 0
  1. PIR Shell: inner layer + middle layer (if necessary) + outer layer
  2. Secondary Vapor Barrier: PAP aluminum foil
  3. Main Vapor Barrier: mastic + fiberglass meshes + mastic
  4. Metal Protective Layer: aluminum alloy plate, stainless steel plate, aluminized steel plate, GRP
  5. Sealant: HS-10-02, Foster 95-50, etc
  6. Strapping Material: stainless steel tape, sub sensitive tape
Packing and Storage
  • Store in dry, lightproof, shady, and ventilated conditions away from heat sources and direct sunlight
  • Inner packaging: black polyethylene bags; Outer packaging: protective cartons
Cautions
  • Handle PIR insulation gently - avoid rolling, collision, and heavy pressure during transport
  • Secure PIR insulation to pipes and equipment using glass fiber tape or steel bands
  • Use saws for cutting during installation
