Product Description
Industrial PIR Foam Pipe Insulation Polyisocyanurate Pipework Insulation UV Resistance
Polyisocyanurate (PIR) is a foaming material made by the polymerization of isocyanate and polyether. With superior physical and fire resistance properties compared to polyurethane, it features minimal thermal conductivity and excellent dimensional stability as an organic hard thermal insulation material.
Key Features
  1. Fire resistance rated as B1
  2. Operating temperature range: -196℃ to +120℃
  3. Exceptional dimensional stability
  4. Customizable cutting in panels and pipes to meet specific requirements

Applications
As an ideal organic low-temperature heat insulation material with minimal thermal conductivity and high dimensional stability, PIR foam is suitable for a wide temperature range. It is extensively used in LNG, ethylene, cold storage, and other low-temperature industrial applications.
Typical PIR Insulation System Structure
Industrial PIR Foam Pipe Insulation Polyisocyanurate Pipework Insulation UV Resistance 0
  • PIR Shell: inner layer + middle layer (if necessary) + outer layer
  • Secondary Vapor Barrier: PAP aluminum foil
  • Main Vapor Barrier: mastic + fiberglass meshes + mastic
  • Metal Protective Layer: aluminum alloy plate, stainless steel plate, aluminized steel plate, GRP
  • Sealant: HS-10-02, Foster 95-50, etc
  • Strapping Material: stainless steel tape, sub sensitive tape
Packing and Storage
  • Store in a dry, lightproof, shady, and ventilated area away from heat sources and direct sunlight
  • Inner packaging consists of black polyethylene bags with outer carton packaging
Handling Cautions
  • Handle PIR gently, avoiding rolling, collision, and heavy pressure during transportation
  • When applying to pipe and equipment insulation, secure PIR with glass fiber tape or steel bands
  • Use a saw for cutting during application
